30 cms x 22.5 cms unframed oil painting on canvas panel.
Inspired by the sight of the stunning flowers in front of the iconic white wooden beach huts at the base of Flaghead Chine, Canford Cliffs.
I painted a second, larger version of this view immediately after completing the first postcard-sized study.
I holidayed as a child in a little wooden beach hut which used to sit on Sandbanks beach, somewhere near the present day cafe. I think my parents used to rent it for a week of the school holidays. It brings back memories of stripy multi-coloured windbreaks, icelollies and real sand in those beachside 'sand'wiches!
