Inspiration: I had gone for a walk at the beach when I saw this charming family scene in the harbour. The dog caught my attention first, running along and splashing through the shallow puddles, yet never straying far from this little group. The sunlight sparkling on the sea and wet sand was simply stunning. I just had to paint it! It reminded me of one of those perfect Summer days I enjoyed as a child, when the sun was warm on your face, your feet were permanently sandy, and it felt like Summer would last forever.
